Your dedicated SnagMyBuild surveyor will take their time to look at all parts of your new build property or house extension that can be visually accessed. We also help ensure your property is compliant with current technical standards, general building regulations and best practices using RPSA set guidelines and guidance.

What do we inspect when we're on site?

Your professional RPSA registered snagging surveyor will have a detailed checklist of items to inspect and check when they're on site. These include things such as poor and untidy finishes, cosmetic damage, plumbing (leaks and compliance), electrical (faults and compliance) and external finishing.

Below is a list of main, but not all, items that will be checked during our visit to your home:

Here’s how it works:

  • Book your inspection date online now on our book now page or over the phone through our sales team on 0330 122 7728;
  • Pay a £75 booking deposit as prompted to secure your booking* and your surveyor will contact you within 24 hours;
  • Ensure access is available to the property on the agreed date and time;
  • Your survey takes place and your snagging report is prepared;
  • Pay the survey balance payment when invoiced and your report is released to you;
  • Forward the detailed report to your developer or builder for action;
  • Book a follow up inspection (if required) by contacting our sales team*.

*Deposit payments are non-refundable if the survey is cancelled within 48 hours of the survey date and time. Additional charges apply for follow up inspections if required.

How long does a survey take?

Of course the length of a survey depends on the property size and number of snags found. We generally ask that new build access is available for up to 4 hours. However, most surveys can be successfully completed within 3 hours. In terms of house extension snagging, these can usually be completed within 2 hours.

Where do we work?

Broadly speaking, we operate within a 65 mile radius of our Gloucestershire base, as shown here on the map. However, we are happy to travel further for an additional charge. We also have qualified RSPA registered snagging fulfilment partners located all over the UK, so please do contact us even if your property is located outside the boundaries shown on the map.

*If your property is located further afield, then we reserve the right to quote for the inspection and our normal services cannot be booked directly through our website.
